Choosing the right installer is integral to your buying decisions. Your installer should be Gas Safe registered and be qualified to install gas fires or in the case of solid fuel, Hetas Registered. There a few routes to find yourself an installer including the Yellow Pages or your local directory, however Gas Safe the national watchdog for gas safety has a list of approved installers in your area.

We firmly recommend that all customers use a Gas Safe / Hetas registered installer as required by law to install gas / solid fuel appliances. The installer is required to carry their identification card, so please ask to see this and check that the name, date, photo and company are what you expect them to be.
If you are in doubt about an installers credentials, please check their registration with the appropriate body.
